We’re still weeks out from the official start of New York Rangers training camp, but in a light bit of news, Larry Brooks of the New York Post has confirmed the Rangers’ first camp invite — Bobby Farnham.
Bobby Farnham, 28 yo LW who played 50 with NJD two years ago (8-2=10 then and 67-game NHL career) will attend Rangers camp on PTO

Farnham played 50 games with the New Jersey Devils in 2015-16 before spending most of last season playing for the Montreal Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, the St. John’s IceCaps.
Rangers fans should remember him as a fourth-line energy player, built in the same vein as Tanner Glass, who doesn’t shy from contact. Unlike Glass, however, he isn’t much of a fighter, instead opting for more of a pest role where agitation is the name of his game.
It’ll be interesting to see just how impressive his game is in camp given the temporary roster opening the Rangers stand to begin the season with as Jesper Fast recovers from offseason surgery.
