  1. Lundqvist will be on Mike Francesa at 1:10 today. Quite honestly i am gonna take a pass on this b/c im super tired and cant focus. I cant believe I will have to listen to Francesa for another 2 weeks, my head is going to explode.
Neil Smith is on right now with Joe and Evan, im sure WFAN.com will have a link up later for the interview.

I couldn't believe this save. Maybe the biggest save he's ever made. That reaction time on that it ridiculous.

Exactly. I don't care if he made 52 saves if you let in a weak goal as the game winner. Make 18 saves, get no work, and then pull the ONE save out of your ass at a KEY time? That's the shit that is epic.
Some people are saying he had all day to make that save and most goalies would have too. Yeah, whatever
I'm really happy for Hank... I know how much he's wanted this
He was given props throughout the season and when the playoffs started, and deservedly so. But Lundqvist has taken the wheel now and has had firm control over the wheel for nearly 6 months now.
We all know Hank sucked early on and Talbot played great.
He did what he had to do last night.
Fairly easy game for him, team was outstanding.
But what I like, Is that I think had the team fallen apart, and Lundy shelled all night, I still think he finds a win to steal the game.
I just believed he was going to put up a wall....it just so happened that it didn't get tested often 🙂

I think he's long overdue for a postseason shutout!

Okay, first of all, I don't think any of us are surprised that he followed up that bad game with a shutout. He had a pretty easy game, but came up HUGE when it mattered, which is all we can ask from him. In a way, getting chased out of Montreal might be the best thing that could've happened. He got the rest of the night off, got hungry and angry , and game in with total game face. Like Peetie said, it's amazing how one save can solidify a legacy. That's his Bure penalty shot, until he does something better in the finals 🙂 .
Side note, the man is normally studly in pictures, but he is NOT cut out for candids:

    THIS....IS.....SPARTA!!!!!!
Called it and Morph - you called it as well: everyone on this team stepped up in a big way and dominated this game start to finish. Lundqvist just cemented his legacy with that particular windmill save, and the team just proved they're here to take care of business. That was a ruthless performance by these guys.
