  1. Yea, I don't buy into the "C" stuff, at all. It happened to one player here, Leetch, and it was mostly because of his idolization of Messier.
I wouldn't be surprised to see his have surgery on his shoulder this off-season. It's really effected his skating he's not using his legs to create offense or drive into opposition as a defender. Some of his passes are picked off because they're weak floaters.
In regards to talking about the "C"
This team has pulled together, faced adversity, and produced at a higher level since probably 94.
And that Includes bringing along some young kids.
McD has been playing like a second pairing, and I cant give him credit for team success, but the C seems to be working
Difference is that Jagr and Gaborik were goal scorers who relied on their shoulders for their greatest strength: their shots.
McDonaghs shot hasn't looked bad. His decision-making has been bad and that's nothing to do with a shoulder or any injury. It looks mental to me.
Some ugly moments last night for sure. And some good ones too, I think. But the ugly stood out more.
    Shoulder if you ask me.
Remember Jagr and Gaborik's worst years after coming back from shoulder injuries.
This is at least #2 in just a few years for McD. I reckon he's sucking it up and doing his duty as the C, which is probably weighing even heavier with the injuries.
His offensive development took a step back as well. This was why I thought MSL should of had the c this year. I wanted Mac to just develop his total game for another year. The c weighs heavy on some
I sure hope its the nagging injuries and not the pressure of having that C on his chest. Like Richie said the game on Saturday might have been the worst game we've ever seen him play in the NHL.
I don't know what is going on with him. Before this season he was a tremendous d-man since he debut. Last year his offense really got better and I expected more this year.

That D on Perry was just disgraceful. Didn't take the body, didn't lift his stick, didn't do a damn thing. Had to watch the replay just to realize it was him because I couldn't believe he'd let someone make it look that easy.

Agreed, IDK what the hell he was doing on that play. Perry made him look stupid. At one instance it looked like he put his stick blade in his five hole like a goalie.

Oh yeah he's been crap. It looked like he was turning it around back in December I think and has since fallen back down. I don't know what it is. I'd like to blame it on his two shoulder injuries, but he's being crappy in situations that shouldn't be affected by his shoulder.
